Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and reliable Forklift Operator to join our warehouse team. The Forklift Operator will be responsible for the safe and efficient operation of forklifts and other warehouse equipment to handle and transport materials. This role plays a crucial part in ensuring the smooth flow of goods within the warehouse and supporting production and shipping activities. The ideal candidate will have experience operating forklifts and a strong commitment to safety.
Key Responsibilities:

Operate forklifts to move, load, unload, and stack materials in the warehouse or production areas.

Safely transport goods to designated locations, such as storage areas, loading docks, and production lines.

Inspect forklifts and other equipment before use to ensure they are in proper working condition and report any malfunctions.

Follow warehouse safety guidelines, including wearing personal protective equipment (PPE) and adhering to forklift operation procedures.

Assist with inventory management by moving products as directed and accurately documenting material movements.

Support the shipping and receiving processes by loading and unloading trucks, containers, or pallets.

Organize and maintain warehouse areas to ensure cleanliness, order, and efficient storage of materials.

Communicate effectively with warehouse supervisors, coworkers, and management to ensure tasks are completed in a timely manner.

Participate in routine maintenance and cleaning of equipment and the work area.
Qualifications and Skills:

High school diploma or equivalent.

Proven experience as a forklift operator, with certification preferred.

Ability to operate forklifts and other warehouse equipment such as pallet jacks and hand trucks.

Basic understanding of warehouse safety regulations and ability to follow safety protocols.

Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions.

Good physical condition and ability to lift heavy objects (up to 50 lbs).

Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.

Good communication skills and ability to work well within a team.
Additional Requirements:

Forklift certification (if not currently certified, must be able to obtain certification).

Flexibility to work overtime, weekends, or shifts as needed.

Familiarity with warehouse management systems (WMS) is a plus.
